Published in Education Saturday, 03 February 2018 14:18

In a laudable attempt to induce progressive technology into the educational sector, Edulanche Services Pvt.Ltd assisted and funded by KSIDC (Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation) launched a smartphone application. The app was officially launched by Dr. Beena IAS, Managing Director, KSIDC. The app that goes by the name Edfone aids students to follow definite and desirable learning routine.

“We believe if we can fix education, we can eventually do everything else. Edfone is a timer embedded app that helps students to track the time they spend to learn topics and furthermore, helps them to revise the topic by clicking images of their materials and by recording audio of themselves explaining the topic. What to learn’ isn’t an issue in today’s scenario. Institutions furnish students with the best resources available and there are various sources that they can always rely on. The real question is ‘why to learn’ and ‘how to learn’?” - Dr. Nishanth B Singh, Founder, Edfone App said.

The millennials as we call them have fallen prey to the most undesirable method of functioning – procrastinating. Trying to complete their entire syllabus the night before exam not only affects their grades but also destroys the whole purpose of education i.e gaining knowledge. Edfone app helps them to correct this method and learn their topics in an effective manner. Edfone is developed on the fundamentals set by the Learning pyramid principle which states students can remember 90%    of content if they teach    someone    else.

Dr. Sr. Vinitha, Director, St. Teresa's College, S.R. Nair, Director, Mentor Guru and  Renjith Philip, Business Development Head, The Choice School felicitated the function.
