Customers can select from a wide range of fabrics and avail free CustomTailoring Service in exchange of old trousers or shirts

Raymond - the leading manufacturer, marketer and retailer of worsted suiting fabrics over the last nine decades  announced the launch of the Garment Exchange Program- ‘Look Good, Do Good’ in association with Goonj, an award winning national level voluntary organisation. After the overwhelming response received last year from the Trouser Exchange program, Raymond has decided to extend the offer for shirts as well this year. This consumer initiative offers free custom tailoring services on a new pair of trousers &shirts in exchange of old trousers or shirts, respectively.

The social initiative will  be  up to 2nd July, 2017 at over 1000 stores across 380+ towns in India. While this Exchange Program offers every customer a chance to give away their old trousers and shirts that would reach to people in need, the customers will also get a chance to experience custom tailored trousers crafted from Raymond Fine Fabrics.

Commenting on this launch, Shanti swarup Panda, Chief Marketing Officer, Raymond Limited, said, “Raymond as a brand caters to the different faces of 'The Complete Man'- a man who is caring, sensitive and places a huge premium on relationships. Through the ‘Look Good Do Good’ initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to partner with our customers in an effort to give back to the society. With an overwhelming response of over 2,10,000 trousers exchanged last year, the launch of Garment Exchange program this year is yet another step to contribute to this cause. Through this initiative, customers can not only look good by experiencing custom-made fits and styles but also feel good in the true sense.”

Raymond will accept any full-length adult trouser and/or full and half adult shirt of any kind from any brand that is in wearable condition. Consumers will have a choice to choose from a wide variety of innovative fabric options and avail free tailoring. These garments will be then distributed across 1000 villages in India in 21states.
Commenting on this initiative Anshu Gupta, Founder - Goonj said; "For Goonj what matters is Dignity. Somewhere in the last few years we have been able to change the charitable subject- object i.e. old material into a powerful currency or reward. Under our nationwide initiative ‘ Cloth for Work’ people take up community initiatives for their own villages, right from digging well to making roads and then receive the material with dignity. Every single unit we collect is like a parallel currency for development work for us. Goonj is certainly happy to again associate with Raymond on this thoughtful campaign.”

Customers can bring their old trouser/shirt to Raymond Shops across the country to avail this offer. In lieu of the old garment, they can select from an extensive range of fine fabrics to craft a new pair of custom-made trousers or a bespoke shirt styled according to your fit. A single voucher per trouser/shirt can be redeemed for availing free custom tailoring services on trouser/shirt, respectively. Customers can give away any number of trousers or shirts to avail an equal number of mobile-vouchers at the store.
