Kochi : Milma’s Ernakulam Regional Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union (ERCMPU) has made arrangements for the public, including students to visit its  dairies situated at Ernakulam(Thripunithura), Thrissur (Ramavarmapuram), Kottayam( Vadavathoor) and Idukki ( Kattappana) on November 25th 26th and 27th, as part of the National Milk Day celebrations. 

ERCMPU Chairman C.N. Valsalan Pillai said that the visit to the dairy will give a good idea of the functioning of the plant including various processes that precede the delivery of milk in sachet to millions of homes. Visitors will have the opportunity to know about the functioning of the milk producers’ cooperative societies, mode of processing and distribution. 

 The visitors can buy Milma products  from marketing  outlets of these dairies at discount rates on these days.

The country celebrates November 26 as the National Milk Day, coinciding with the birth anniversary of the late Dr Verghese Kurien, the father of India’s White Revolution.
